An Unforgotten Anniversary

A year ago today I was discharged from work. It's been a rough year, filled with a lot of stress from not knowing what's going to happen. But we have survived. And the struggle for work and a new job goes on.

Falling behind on more than a few things...

On Monday, 14 December 2009, through no fault of my own, I was laid off without two weeks notice nor any pay in lieu of notice, and I've been scrambling to make ends meet and find new work. Additionally, I've been a bit sick of late, first with some sort of sinus infection and now with some sort of flu virus which has all of me aching and has exhausted me. I'm working on a few new things, like an animation demo reel based on past work (primarily AE work), which might help.

Meantime, I've been too busy to blog. I remain hopeful and intend to pursue every available avenue of work I can find, but not much has cone through yet. Still. Being unemployed means punching pessimism in the face repeatedly. Even ill, I can do that a long time.
