Going to England in September...

Because we're going. Haven't done anything but purchase plane tickets at this point, but that's a major start.

Since this is my first trip to that splendid isle, any advice from savvy travelers or natives would be most welcome.

Now that I'm broke, I need to get funds together for the registration proper, place to stay, and something to live on while there.

Anyone need some work done?

Hey,

Of course, the Natural History Museum is a given... I can't promise anything but I may be able to get some people in behind the scenes in the palaeo department around the time of SVP.

Mo, we'd be honored to be treated to any sort of personal tour.

Sweet. You can of course have a personal tour of my garden and all its primitive plants if you like!

I'm going to do a series of posts nearer the time with some useful info for the first-time visitor to the UK.

Julia: that would be awesome. If there's time, I may have to fill the sketchbook with plant portaits!

That would be great. You can spend as much time as you like sketching, and of course because everything is in pots if you need to move something to get better light that will be fine. We're about two hours from Bristol by car or train (pretty much on the straight line from Bristol to the NHM!).
